A family business, which has been around for over 90 years, specialising in the design and manufacture of quality
furniture. Wood Bros is located in Ware, Hertfordshire, where it has been since the foundation “stone” was laid in 1952.
Famous for our successful Old Charm traditional Tudor furniture collection, which was first introduced in the early 50s,
we have designed and manufactured everything from the cutting-edge modern glass fibre shells of Lurashell to our
more contemporary oak and upholstery designs of today.
Design at Wood Bros
All our designs are unique to Wood Bros and are developed at our Design Studio here in Ware, Hertfordshire. The Design Studio designs quality, function and style into our products from the outset, supported by a team of experienced craftsmen and prototypers.
We take pride in our design and manufacturing heritage which stretches over 90 years, from the mahogany reproduction antiques of the 20’s through the glass fibre shells of the 60s to the hardwoods of the present day.
All our materials, from character timber and bespoke fittings to hand soldered lead lights and fabrics, are sourced from the highest quality suppliers all over the world. Wood Bros’ commitment to design and craftsmanship, responsible sourcing and consistent high standards are reflected in our brand ethos ‘ Designed for Living.. guaranteed for Life’

To this day, Harris Tweed is the only furniture upholstery fabric in the world protected by an Act of parliament. This states that it must be ‘made with 100% pure virgin wool, dyed, spun and finished in the outer Hebrides and woven by hand by the islanders of Lewis, Harris, Uist and Barra’. Harris Tweed Orb Trademark
The unique act is policed by the Harris Tweed Authority, who monitors all fabric on a daily basis. Furthermore every 50 metres of fabric is inspected and approved before being stamped by hand with the orb trademark. No other Fabric can call itself Harris Tweed.
Traditional and modern, Harris Tweed retains its aura of exclusivity, created by individuals for individuals.

Every Wood Bros sofas and armchair is inspected and approved before being stamped by hand with our hexagon stainless steel button. For authentication please check the back left leg to find our trademark hexagon.
